Emerging as the highest run-scorer for Rajasthan Royals in a marred campaign for the franchise, Jaiswal racked up 625 runs in 14 matches. His fearless batting grabbed the eyeballs of the selectors and he was added to the Indian squad for the WTC final as a back-up player but couldn’t make the cut for the playing eleven. However, following his exclusion from the WTC playing XI, he started putting even harder yards and seeing his unwavering dedication, he was awarded a place in the Indian cricket team for the tour of West Indies.

During a training session as shared by journalist, Vimal Kumar, Kohli was seen engaging in a prolonged discussion with Yashasvi Jaiswal, helping to get his craft in a much sharper avatar than what it already was. The entire confab had another ardent admirer in Shubman Gill who was gearing up for his individual practice session.

India will be a part of an elongated bilateral series that will witness them go head to head against the might of West Indies where they play two Test matches, three ODIs and five T20Is kickstarting from 12th July and continuing till 13th of August.
