Predicting the four likely overseas players of all teams for IPL 2024

The four foreigners in an IPL playing XI must usually form an important part of the core of the side. In this regard, teams must focus on hiring good foreign players. On that note, here, we predict the four likely overseas players of all teams for IPL 2024.

Chennai Super Kings – Rachin Ravindra, Daryl Mitchell, Maheesh Theekshana and Matheesha Pathirana

Rachin Ravindra is set to open the batting in the absence of Devon Conway. CSK will also be waiting for the fitness update of Pathirana. Otherwise, Mustafizur Rahman would play. Moeen Ali would be the backup for the batters.

Delhi Capitals – David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Tristan Stubbs and Anrich Nortje

The main worry will be the fitness of Nortje. Otherwise, the foreign core is set. Tristan Stubbs would be a better choice than Harry Brook because of his current form and his wicket-keeping attributes.

Gujarat Titans – Kane Williamson, David Miller, Rashid Khan and Spencer Johnson

It all depends on the combination that the management will select. With Mohammed Shami out, GT might need some pace and hence, Spencer Johnson could find a place. Sai Kishore’s current form could keep Noor Ahmed out of the mix.

Kolkata Knight Riders – Phil Salt, Andre Russell, Mitchell Starc and Sunil Narine

When it comes to the likely overseas players of all teams for IPL 2024, KKR seems to have a good solid combination. With Phil Salt coming in as the replacement of Jason Roy, the combination now becomes more easy for KKR. Gurbaz could be the second-choice for the unit.

Lucknow Super Giants – Quinton de Kock, Nicholas Pooran, Marcus Stoinis and Shamar Joseph

While the foreigners in the batting unit are set, it will be interesting to see the foreign pacer whom LSG will use. The likes of David Willey and Naveen-ul-Haq are the other options for the KL Rahul-led side in the IPL 2024.

Punjab Kings – Jonny Bairstow, Liam Livingstone, Sam Curran and Kagiso Rabada

It is pretty much straightforward for Punjab in IPL 2024. However, it will be interesting to see how the batting order gets arranged. That could define the fate of the outfit in IPL 2024.

Mumbai Indians – Tim David, Gerald Coetzee, Dilshan Madushanka and Nuwan Thushara

Mumbai Indians have the most flexible combination when it comes to the likely overseas players of all teams for IPL 2024. MI has a squad which should be okay with only three foreign players. If they go for their fourth, it could be Nuwan Thushara, thanks to his brilliance in the death overs.

Royal Challengers Bangalore – Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, Cameron Green and Alzarri Joseph

The three batters are confirmed to feature in the preferred playing XI. Will Jacks also stands a chance. Joseph could begin but if he has a few bad games, the likes of Reece Topley and Lockie Ferguson could come into the picture.

Sunrisers Hyderabad – Pat Cummins, Heinrich Klaasen, Travis Head and Aiden Markram

Pat Cummins’ appointment has complicated a few things at SRH. Klaasen is undroppable but will Aiden Mark sit on the bench? Travis Head also deserves a start, thanks to his form in the limited-overs format at the moment.

Rajasthan Royals – Jos Buttler, Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell and Trent Boult

Rajasthan Royals have a settled unit when it comes to the likely overseas players of all teams for IPL 2024. It is pretty easy for RR to seal their four foreigners. With the acquisition of Rovman Powell, their batting becomes stronger. Adam Zampa is another choice for the team.
