“Not in T20Is anymore, Need to move on now”, Twitter reacts as Andy Flower said that KL Rahul is an amazing cricketer and a delight to watch

KL Rahul came under fire for his poor performances in limited-overs cricket of late. However, the right-handed batter has been silencing the critics in the best possible manner.

Recently, he scored two half-centuries for the Indian national cricket team in the ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup held in Australia. Although he was decent in a couple of games, he failed to bring the best out of himself in the other games.

KL Rahul was recently rested for India’s tour of New Zealand. However, the right-handed batsman made a superb comeback into the national cricket team for the ODI series against the Bangladesh cricket team.

Lokesh Rahul played the role of a wicket-keeper batsman since Rishabh Pant already requested the Indian cricket team management to release himself from the ODI squad.

Former Zimbabwe cricketer Andy Flower reserved the highest respect for Lokesh Rahul by calling him an amazing cricketer and further highlighted that Rahul is an absolute delight to watch. He also said that KL Rahul has a tremendous record, especially in the IPL and hence, he rates him very highly.

The star batsman who came out to bat at No.5 during the first ODI against Bangladesh played magnificently. While the wickets kept falling like a pack of cards at one end, KL Rahul kept delivering the punches at the other end.

The right-handed batsman scored an impressive 73 off 70 balls with the help of 5 boundaries and 4 sixes to his name. India were bowled out for 186 and in reply, Bangladesh displayed tremendous fighting spirit till the end.

The hosts went on to beat the visitors by 1 wicket and took a 1-0 lead in the series, with two more games to go. KL Rahul will be looking forward to continuing his good touch with the bat even in the second ODI against the Bangladesh cricket team.

The second ODI between India and Bangladesh will be held on December 7, Wednesday at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka.
