Predicting the strongest playing XI for India against England in the T20 World Cup Semifinals

India will take on England in the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2022 at Adelaide Oval on Thursday (10th November). The Rohit Sharma-led side has played some exceptional cricket to reach this stage and they would be hoping to deliver two more good performances to put their hand on the trophy.

Talking about the predicted playing XI it’s likely that skipper Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul will continue at the top of the order. The senior opener would to step up on the big stage and lead from the front whereas the vice-captain would want to continue his fine form.

With the kind of form Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav are in, no one can replace them in the Indian side and they are likely to bat at No.3 and 4 respectively in the semi-final against England. There has been a tussle between Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik for the place in the side. But it is expected that the left-hander will get a nod ahead at No.5.

Hardik Pandya will bat at No.6 for his side and is expected to play a crucial role with the ball as well. R Ashwin although has been under firing line but, likely, he will play considering the number of left-handers in the English side. Yuzvendra Chahal might get a place in the side ahead of Akshar Patel. Whereas Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh and Mohammad Shami will retain their place.
