“Now we have a new El Clasico”, Twitter goes crazy as BCCI slaps Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir with a hefty fine after beef on the ground

Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir completely lose their calm on the ground

After a fine game of cricket between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Lucknow Super Giants, things spiralled out of control as Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir lost their cool completely. In the first leg of the encounter, after RCB lost the game on the last ball of the match, Gautam Gambhir gesticulated at the Chinnaswamy crowd to remain shut.

Virat Kohli knew exactly what was to be done when RCB secured the prize win. Doing a dead ringer celebration that was done by Gambhir in the first place, Virat asked the crowd to stay shut, zipping them up like he did at Bull Ring.

This is how it all went down between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir

It was 10 years ago in 2013, when the entire drama started after Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir went at each other’s throats in their respective IPL jerseys where the former was in his traditional Red and Gold threads while Gautam Gambhir was in the Purple and Gold.

This time however, Virat Kohli was in a similar raiment but Gautam Gambhir switched his loyalties to the Blues as he is the coach of the Lucknow Super Giants. Things had no intentions of calming down as there was a new name in the mix in the form of Naveen Ul Haq.

RCB batted first on a track that had its own brand of shenanigans with the ball turning around pretty sharply. Led by their captain, Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli’s resilient knock of 31, RCB posted 126 for the loss of 9 that seemed like below par total during the breather.

This is what Twitter had to say about the beef between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir

However, things went out of hand real fast for the Lucknow Super Giants as the RCB bowlers put in a clinical display of bowling performance, restricting their opposition to a paltry 108, particularly with KL Rahul being a mere spectator in the entire show.

Twitter had their own say as BCCI intervened with a stringent punition, deducting 100 percent of match fee for Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir while Naveen ul Haq was also fined with 50 percent of his match fee.

Kohli and Gambhir were charged with offence of article 2.21 level 2 offence while Naveen was charged under article 2.21 level offence.
