PCB head Ramiz Raja has expressed his belief that the Indian squad, which was captained by Rohit Sharma, made an excessive number of lineup changes, which resulted in the team’s elimination from the Asia Cup semifinals. Raja thinks that the Men in Blue should not have experimented so much for no reason and should have remained with the formula that was successful in the past.
The Indian team was unable to secure a spot in the championship game of the currently-playing Asia Cup after suffering consecutive defeats at the hands of Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Even though they prevailed against Afghanistan in the last match of the Super Four competition, they were not able to go on to the championship game despite their victory. As a direct consequence of this, the Men in Blue are now concentrating their efforts on the forthcoming two home series against Australia and South Africa before departing for the Twenty20 World Cup, which is scheduled to start on October 16.
Ramiz Raja, the chief of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), made an outrageous claim about India’s performance in the competition as he was speaking to the media before the Asia Cup final between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Raja believed that the management of the Indian team made too many adjustments following their triumphs against Pakistan and Hong Kong in Round 1, and as a result, they were penalized for it.

What did Ramiz Raza say?
“You’ve seen where the team is ranked, and the results are clear. If we look at India and Pakistan’s teams side by side, people have asked me why I play the same combination. You will hurt them or make them. The point I want to make is that we have dealt with a certain situation and won games. The model is working, so why should I change it?” Raja asked the reporters, as quoted by Hindustan Times.

“India fell because they wouldn’t let the model set. Too many changes are being made. They have a bigger group of players to try things out with. So, you don’t need to experiment unless you don’t have that kind of bench strength. You’re in a good spot, so just stay there and keep winning,” he added.
At the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 11, the championship match between Sri Lanka and Pakistan will take place.
