In the first match, the Kolkata Knight Riders battled the Chennai Super Kings, while in the second match, the Royal Challengers Bangalore took on the two-time defending champions Mumbai Indians. The likes of Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Rohit Sharma and Trent Boult were in action during the second game of the night.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore won the match comfortably, thanks to half-centuries from Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell. Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Mumbai Indians for the 2nd time in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League
Many fans would remember that the Royal Challengers Bangalore crossed swords with the Mumbai Indians in the opening fixture of the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League. The RCB franchise emerged victorious in that match played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Notably, Harshal Patel was the hero for the Bangalore-based team in that contest as well, as he had taken a 5-wicket haul for his team.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore had won that game while chasing a target, and AB de Villiers played a crucial knock in that match. However, in yesterday’s match, de Villiers could not score big. His son was disappointed after Jasprit Bumrah dismissed him.
