Fans, pundits and cricket fans reacted hilariously after West Indies Cricket Team got knocked out of the T20 World Cup 2022. They also trolled the two-time champions for their poor performances and said that it’s extremely sad to see the early exit of the pioneers of T20 cricket.
Ireland thumps West Indies by 9 wickets to qualify for the Super 12
In a drastic turn of events, two-time champions West Indies have been knocked out of the T20 World Cup 2022. They suffered a thumping 9-wicket loss at the hands of Ireland to suffer an early exit from the tournament.
Opting to bat first, it was a horrendous outing for the West Indies with the bat as they lost wickets in clusters and struggled to get going. Only Brandon King looked settled and scored unbeaten 62 runs.
He was complimented well by Johnson Charles (24) and Odean Smith (19*) as West Indies posted a moderate total of 145 runs on the board. For Ireland, Gareth Delany was the pick of bowlers with figures of 3/16.
Chasing the target, Irish openers Paul Stirling (66*) and Andrew Balbirnie (37) came out all guns blazing and tanked West Indies bowlers all over the ground. Lorcan Tucker (45*) then provided the finishing touches for his side and helped his side defeat West Indies by 9 wickets and qualify for the Super 12 stage.

Well done, Ireland. That is another extraordinary result. But it is tinged with sadness at what has happened with the pioneers of T20 cricket. But c'est la vie.

West Indies once used to dominate the T20 format – the only team to win the T20 World Cup twice, legendary players over the years. It'll be disappointing not to see them in the Super 12s.

WI bowing out of Round 1 isn't as surprising. Consider this, in the last 2 years in T20Is, none of Pooran, King, Powell, Lewis, Hetmyer, Mayers or Brooks avg over 30.
The only person avging over 30 has been Pollard. Scoring quick is important, but you need at least 2 batters

This is the first time a champion team didn't qualify for Super 12.
Tough times for West Indies cricket.

Inexcusable captaincy this from Pooran. He got out of jail last time with Zimbabwe themselves contributing to their downfall, but you can't be making such basic mistakes again.

The only bad thing about this WI team going out so soon will be not seeing Alzarri Joseph in action. The one shining light.

What did you guys expect. Losing series after series with no clear plan , no strategy, with the worst coaching staff and leadership was poor!!
— Gerald Montfort (@gerald_montfort) October 21, 2022
That's because you wanted to be gutted. Didn't pick Sunil Narine, Andre Russell and Shimron Hetmyer.

Non serious board non serious cricketers, they only perform when they want to or for money.. They don't have passion for cricket they're 'entertainers'

#Westindies cricket management have to relook into their structure where players don't feel excited enough to play for the WI ..too much of focus on the leagues throughout the year serve their finances and issues with players don't help either.

West Indies cricket board should banned cricketers who played franchisee cricket over country

Poor selection poor result. West indies should have included Dre.Russel,Narine and #Hetmyer if they were the part of team I am sure they would have found the way to the next round even would have been the contender of tournament.

WI Cricket will be down and out until and unless it will have a greater focus on itself and stop demeaning players like Russel, Narine, Hetmyer etc. Being in Conflict everytime, Wait you won't qualify for 2023 ODI WC as well.
