While the game’s dynamics have changed completely in the modern era, there has also been an increase in the number of cricket matches worldwide. Besides international action, there has been a rise in various T20 leagues across the world.
It is no secret that the entertainment quotient gets amplified especially when it comes to T20 cricket. The cricket fraternity has seen plenty of spice factors during the passage of play and thus the fans get totally satiated.
With the increase in the number of games, there has been an unreal workload on the players as well. We have seen players representing the national cricket team and the domestic T20 team.
Harry Brook won’t be available for Joburg Super Kings in SA20 to manage the workload
On the other hand, some have voluntarily opted out of the T20 leagues for national commitments. Meanwhile, England international Harry Brook made the headlines after he made himself unavailable for Joburg Super Kings in SA20 according to Cricbuzz.
The reason behind his unavailability in the newly-launched league is to manage the workload. It is indeed a big blow to the new franchise who are just getting established in the competition.
For the record, Harry Brook was roped in for R 2.10 million by Joburg Super Kings at the auction earlier this year in Cape Town. Meanwhile, Kasi Viswanathan, the Chief Executive Officer of Chennai Super Kings, who owns the Johannesburg franchise said they will have to search for a replacement.
Harry Brook is expected to be a part of the three-match ODI series between England and South Africa which operates on January 27, 29 and February 1 respectively.
Earlier, Harry Brook made the headlines after he was roped in by the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise for a record INR 13.25 crore at the IPL 2023 mini-auction in Kochi. Rajasthan Royals also showed interest in buying the player but in the end, SRH had the last laugh in the battle.
This is a huge blow for franchisees who are just getting started

This is a huge blow for them. I don't know how are they going to survive with three slow players at the top and an inexperienced middle order.
RIP – JSK 😄

This has to change. If a player put his name on auction he has to think all before it. Specially Eng and Aus players as they play lot of international games. Auction is very important nowadays. Players can't withdraw whenever he wants unless problem is so serious.
