Team India ran through a disappointing defeat at the hands of the England cricket team in the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2022 competition in Australia.

England cricket team defeated Team India by 10 wickets and following the disastrous loss, Indian players came under fire for their attitude on the pitch. Just days after the end of the showpiece event, Indian players travelled all the way to New Zealand for a white-ball assignment.

The tour consists of three T20Is and three ODIs. The likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli were rested for the tour. Even the head coach Rahul Dravid took a break to make way for NCA head VVS Laxman to take over the coaching duty for this tour.

The T20I series opener between India and New Zealand was abandoned due to bad weather as rain played spoilsport ahead of the game. As a result, the game saw no result between the two teams.

Talking about the second game, India had the upper hand over New Zealand across all aspects. As a result, they won the game by 65 runs at Bay Oval to take the first lead in the series.

Suryakumar Yadav was named the man of the match for his incredible batting skills. He scored an unbeaten 111 off 51 balls with the help of 11 boundaries and 7 maximums.

The third and final T20I between India and New Zealand also saw an interruption of rain during the passage of play. However, at that time, the scores were level based on DLS. As a result, the match was tied.

Mohammed Siraj was named the man of the match for his 4/17. Suryakumar Yadav was adjudged the man of the series award for scoring a terrific century in the second ODI against the Black Caps.
