Fans on Twitter react after Bangladesh Cricket Team suffered a massive 101-run loss against South Africa in the T20 World Cup 2022 clash in Sydney. They trolled the Shakib Al Hasan-led side for their poor performance and praised the Proteas for the win.
South Africa thumps Bangladesh by 104 runs in Sydney
In what was a massive boost, South Africa thumped Bangladesh by 104 runs to register their first win and boost their NRR. Opting to bat first, the Proteas lost skipper Temba Bavuma early for just 2 runs. But after that, it was Rilee Rossouw and Quinton de Kock’s show.
The left-handers took Bangladesh bowlers to cleaners and smashed them all over the park for their 168-run partnership. While De Kock perished for 63 runs, Rossouw went on to smash the century and scored 109 runs. Their solid stand helped South Africa post a mammoth total of 205 runs on the board.
Chasing the target, Bangladesh never got going as Anrich Nortje (4/10) rattled their top order with a pace and left them tottering at 47/4. After that Tabraiz Shamsi too chipped in and took 3 wickets whereas Kagiso Rabada and Keshav Maharaj shared two wickets between them as they bundled out the opposition for just 101 runs.
For Bangladesh, only Linton Das looked settled and scored 34 runs but he fell short of partners and perished too as South Africa bagged a massive 104-run win to go on the top of the table in group B.

Was so happy to see Bangladesh grow and once thought 2015 WC was the moment, Bangladesh were waiting for.
Instead, they have digressed big time and have only come on headlines for their vulgar dance steps or for demeaning the opposition through their behaviour. #BANvSA

Bangladesh was so lucky to play super 12, if they would have been in qualifiers, they would not have reached super 12

Bangladesh fall short of 8 runs to Rilee Rossouw's career best figures of 109 while he becomes the third player to score 2 T20I centuries in a calendar year. South Africa who made 205/5 gain a massive +5.2 NRR with a 104 run win after their previous match got washed away pic.twitter.com/qtMWrELvVN
