Dhruv Jurel leads the show in clinical fashion for RR: If the earlier encounters in recent times haven’t been particularly spectacular about Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings, today’s run-fest at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati was a proper reminder of the fact that these two sides come to the game for scoring and scoring endlessly. In another pulsating battle, the two teams piled up an absolute gem of a game and it worth every single penny for the fans who were out there enjoying the fixture.

Put to bat first, Punjab Kings were straight down to business, hammering away at the bowler mercilessly, riding high on the back of Prabhsimran Singh who was given the license to go hard from ball one. Shikhar Dhawan played the perfect host at the other end, taking on bowlers and peppering all the loose balls to the ropes initially before he would go all guns blazing.

However, once Padikkal was back to the pavilion, Riyan Parag took over the reins and started peppering the bowlers into various corners of the park. He was followed suit by Nicholas Pooran and impact player Dhruv Jurel. Jurel’s impact was absolutely significant. The duo started smoking around the cherry like none other. Dhruv Jurel was relentless with his shots and eventually managed to lead the charge for the Rajasthan Royals albeit falling short in the end.
