Watch: MS Dhoni takes the reference of Virat Kohli in explaining a cricket shot for his fellow CSK youngster

MS Dhoni has been leading CSK emphatically

MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli have been two massive names in the arcade of Indian cricket and no matter howsoever the stats, the exploits and the stances of the two players have varied in time, whenever these two have shared a dressing room or a frame or even a cricketing analogy only sparks of brilliance have been evident flying.

Known as Thala, that translates to elder brother in English, MS Dhoni has been a reckoning force in the roster of IPL. Ever since MS stepped down from international cricket in 2020, he has only featured in the franchise tournament. In the second El Clasico of IPL 2023, Mumbai Indians were handed another defeat that would act as a telling blow to their aspirations.

Here is how Mumbai Indians were humbled by MS Dhoni and company

Mumbai Indians were already crippled by a high-flying Matheesa Pathirana who would generate some searing pace to leave the high-scoring Mumbai Indians batting unit in absolute shambles. Deepak Chahar got in the groove, bagging a brace too while Tushar Deshpande continued with his red-hot form, bagging another couple of wickets.

Devon Conway led the charge for CSK scoring an anchoring knock of 44 from 42 balls while Ruturaj Gaikwad hammered 30 off 16 to play an instrumental role in ushering CSK to the finish line. This was their sixth win of the tournament as they walked away with a crucial two-pointer, surging to the second position of the points table.

While explaining a shot to a youngster, MS Dhoni took the reference of Virat Kohli. Knowing the former Indian captain from up close and personal, Dhoni would use him as a reference for the youngster and no wonder, the internet exploded in admiration.

They say that when two greats come together, and they are delivering in the perfect sync and unison, even an entire galaxy turns into mere ashes of dust in front of the sheer majesty and brilliance of the duo and when we talk about VK and Dhoni in the same breath, the cricketing galaxy has always been in awe.
