Tagenarine Chanderpaul smashes 119 runs in a warmup game against Prime Ministers XI
The cricketing world is all set to witness the heroics of Chanderpaul yet again. But this time it’ll be Tagenarine, son of West Indies great Shivnarine. The 26-year-old had a staggering domestic season back home as he scored runs prolifically and on the back of those performances, he made it into the West Indies squad for the Australia tour.
Tagenarine opened the innings for West Indies in the warmup game against Prime Ministers XI and he didn’t disappoint. The southpaw brilliantly crafted his innings and played staggering innings.
Tagenarine batted for 293 balls and scored 119 runs. His innings were of high quality as played some staggering strokes all around the ground with 13 fours and 1 six. With the kind of innings he played in the first innings of the warmup game, it’s fair to say that he could well be in line to make his debut for West Indies in the Test series against Australia.
