Parthiv Patel predicts an India Vs Pakistan final in T20 World Cup 2021

India and Pakistan have already played against each other once in this T20 World Cup

The former Indian wicketkeeper batsman Parthiv Patel has predicted that India and Pakistan will go head to head against each other again in the final of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021.

India faced Pakistan in their first game in the T20 World Cup 2021 and lost it by a massive margin of 10 wickets. Pakistan, thereafter, went on to beat New Zealand as well and now, they are in a very strong position to make the semi-finals. India, on the other hand, are now in a position where their game against New Zealand is a virtual knockout for them.

Apart from India, Pakistan and New Zealand, the other three teams in group 2 are Afghanistan, Scotland and Namibia. While Afghanistan is a strong team in these conditions and on their day, can cause an upset against any team, one would still back the top three teams to win their games against Afghanistan and if that indeed happens, India Vs New Zealand game would turn out to be the knockout.

However, teams like Scotland and Namibia shouldn’t be taken lightly either as Scotland beat an in-form Bangladesh in the qualifying round with a quality allround performance with bat and ball.

Parthiv Patel thinks both India and Pakistan will qualify from group 2

If India and Pakistan do manage to top group 2 and make their way to the semis, it’s very much likely that they might lock horns in the final again if they win their respective semi-final games and Parthiv Patel is fully expecting that to happen.

“We are going to see an India Vs Pakistan final in this T20 World Cup. It will happen,” Parthiv Patel said while speaking on the post match show of Star Sports last night.

The reason why Parthiv Patel is backing both India and Pakistan to qualify to the finals is because of the UAE pitches which are mostly slow and suit the kind of bowling attack that India and Pakistan have. Apart from bowling, India and Pakistan have also got real quality players with the bat in these conditions.
