Former Indian cricket team opener Aakash Chopra got a feeling that Ravindra Jadeja might not be a part of the Chennai Super Kings’ squad next year in the Indian Premier League because of what transpired in this season. Jadeja started IPL 2022 as the captain of the Chennai Super Kings, but the team failed to perform well under his captaincy and was standing at the door of elimination when MS Dhoni took the captaincy back.
A few games later, Dhoni informed at the toss of the match against the Delhi Capitals that Jadeja picked up an injury, which was why he was not a part of the playing XI. Soon after, it was confirmed that Jadeja has been ruled out of IPL 2022.
While fans have accurately said with video proof that Jadeja got injured during the match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore, former Indian cricket team opener and current Star Sports Hindi commentator Aakash Chopra said that Jadeja may not be with CSK even next year. Here’s what he said on YouTube while previewing the match between CSK and MI:
“I am getting a thought that maybe he won’t even be there next year. This happens in the Chennai camp that you don’t exactly know what has happened to the player when he is injured or gets dropped. A similar thing happened to Suresh Raina in 2021. After some games, they suddenly left him out.”
Ravindra Jadeja has left the CSK bio-bubble
Since Jadeja is unfit for the remainder of the IPL season, he has left the bio-bubble of the Chennai Super Kings team in IPL 2022.
CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan has confirmed that the former Chennai Super Kings skipper has left the bio-bubble. Jadeja will look to recover from his injury quickly and then play for the Indian cricket team in the upcoming busy international schedule.
