The Indian cricket team already boasts a truckload of talented batters in their arsenal. When a marquee player sustains an injury, they do have players at their disposal to fill the shoes.
The competition is so surreal in the modern era as it is not that easy to sneak into the playing XI of the Indian cricket team. Besides the players in international cricket, India is also blessed with talented prospects in the domestic circuit.
There are several talented players in domestic cricket who are eagerly waiting for a chance to represent Team India. Among the talented players, Sarfaraz Khan has indeed made a name for himself for his sheer consistency.
The right-handed batsman made great impressions with the bat in domestic cricket over the last three seasons. Notably, the 25-year-old aggregated 3380 runs at a massive batting average of 80.47 in 36 first-class fixtures.
The Mumbai cricket team also largely benefitted from the batter’s services for the last three seasons. He led the batting attack by example, more often than not and produced a spark when it mattered the most.
Sarfaraz Khan makes a shocking revelation after he was not included in the Test squad
Just a few days ago, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) named India’s squad for the first two Tests of the Border Gavaskar Trophy series against the Australian national cricket team.
The selectors didn’t include Sarfaraz Khan in the squad for the first two Tests. Meanwhile, the Mumbai batter himself made a shocking revelation after he was not considered for the first two games.
During the Ranji Trophy final in Bengaluru last year, the youngster had clear communication with the Indian selection committee where he was promised that he would get an opportunity for Bangladesh Tests.
While speaking to TOI, Sarfaraz Khan said when he scored a ton in Ranji Trophy final, he was told by the selectors that he would get a chance for the Bangladesh Test series. However, that wasn’t meant to be.
Recently, when Sarfaraz Khan met Chetan Sharma, he told him that good things certainly take time. Chetan Sharma said that Sarfaraz Khan is very close and that he will get a chance soon.
Sarfraz will get chances in 2023-25 WTC cycle

Yes playing for India is an ultimate dream.

Absolutely. Good things take time whereas the worst will always get re-elected.

Really feel bad for this person. Can't understand why he is not getting chance to play for india

With current stats, he walks in to India test team as no 5 batsmen. Noone deserves better than him. Only weakness may be his IPL record which is the only thing, selection committee is looking at 🤦
