“Sensible comment from his coach”, Twitter reacts after Sanju Samson’s childhood coach said ‘people are turning against Rishabh Pant for no reason’

Indian national cricket team recently locked horns with the T20I and ODI series against the New Zealand cricket team. The Men in Blue won the T20I series by 1-0 under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya.

On the other hand, Shikhar Dhawan was back to lead the team for the ODI series. However, under his captaincy, India lost the opening fixture against the Kane Williamson-led New Zealand cricket team by seven wickets.

The next two games ended in the form of a no result and New Zealand won the ODI series by 1-0. Meanwhile, there were talks regarding the player selection between Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson.

Some fans were annoyed that Rishabh Pant has been getting a handful of opportunities as compared to Sanju Samson who played just one game on the tour. On the other hand, Rishabh Pant played 2 T20Is and 1 ODI.

In fact, Pant was also selected for the second ODI but the game was washed out due to rain. During the third ODI, Pant failed to bring the best out of himself as he scored only 10 runs.

Sanju Samson’s childhood coach breaks his silence on Rishabh Pant vs Sanju Samson debate

Meanwhile, Sanju Samson vs Rishabh Pant debate intensified after the southpaw’s poor form in limited-overs cricket. Sanju Samson’s childhood coach Biju broke his silence on the ongoing debate.

While speaking to CricketNext, Biju said that fans are quickly turning against Rishabh Pant for no reason at all on social media portals.

He further added that Pant has been there in the Indian cricket team only because of the fact that he has performed over a long period of time. He also further clarified that there is no clash between Pant and Sanju.

Rishabh Pant might be in poor form of late but he was the one who played pivotal knocks for Team India against England and Australia. He scored a match-winning century against England at Old Trafford earlier this year, which literally sums up why he has been getting more chances.
