Fans on Twitter slammed Pakistan skipper Babar Azam for the poor tactics in the game against India in the T20 World Cup 2022. They feel that although he’s a good batsman he isn’t an attacking captain and Pakistan needs a new skipper.
Pakistan fails to defend 160 runs against India despite a good start
It was a high-octane clash between India and Pakistan that saw players of both teams fighting till the very end and giving their best. After Pakistan posted a total of 159 runs on the board, they started off pretty well with the ball and put India under tremendous pressure.
Their pacer battery produced a magnificent effort to leave India tottering at 31/4 and at the moment it almost seemed that they would bag an easy win. They albeit kept the run rate in check and bowled tight overs but failed to take wickets as Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya held their nerves well and batted wonderfully.
It’s fair to say that Babar held his bowlers back when the pressure was on and had there been one more wicket at that time, Pakistan would’ve earned an easy victory. Babar’s move to bring Nawaz against Hardik Pandya didn’t pay as he got smashed for 20 runs.
Pakistani bowlers then succumbed to pressure as Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya took them to the cleaners and played wonderful knocks to bag the match by 5 wickets.
Fans on Twitter slam Babar Azam for his poor captaincy against India
As Pakistan suffered a disappointing loss, Babar Azam faced skewering at Twitter for his poor captaincy. They feel that he applied poor tactics. Here are some of the reactions:
Pakistan needs a new captain. Babar is a great batsman but can’t not play attacking captainship. That makes Pakistan lose matches.

Poor captaincy from Babar.
Nawaz should never have been the last over

Babar is not good Captain.. India played four pacers but pakistan with 3…asian batsman are not good on pacers at Australia..He also should come at 3..open with haider and rizwan…haider could be only useful as opener..

Same mistake v did in asia cup in 2010 semi final and now in 2022 who gives spinner last ovr..and he wasn't able to stop 18 rs. Gave 9 extras in such crucial time. Is this international level.. haris again was not worth in crucial game

Babar uses same tactics against all the teams and situations. It's poor and tells his minimal decision making ability.

Babar Azam sirf apni ranking maintain karne k liye pakistan k genuine openers ki jaga leke betha ha .. agar itna hi bara player ha tu 1 down aye aur match jetaye pakistan ko..end of the day Virat handle the pressure better than all pakistan players and took away the win from pak

Captainship 😂😂😂@HtotheQ @_FaridKhan @Huk06
No words…
— Shahid Butt (@shahidb) October 23, 2022
Shaheen Shah Afridi can be a better Captain. Babar must go for two down batting.
Captains must be technically trained to place fielding inline with Batsman hitting areas observed through a Batsman’s history of previous matches.@TheRealPCB @TheRealPCBMedia @rameezraja_jr #PCB pic.twitter.com/xlxKZ1gDRA— Umar Farooq Warraich (@016Warraich) October 23, 2022
Yes he should because it’s stupid to give last over to nawaz.

His favorite dialogue after every game he loses “we’ll learn from our mistakes & improve.” Hey how about learn & improve and stop giving the same memorized statement over & over. He’s a very passive captain. He never make decision on situation, only what has already been decided.
