‘If The Team Demands, I Am Ready To Make Adjustments’- Shan Masood Is Prepared To Play In The Middle Order For Pakistan

PAK vs WI Live Update: The batter for Pakistan, Shan Masood, has said that he is prepared to make adjustments to his own game to fulfill the requirements set down by the squad. He said that it was an honor to play for Pakistan and that he was anxiously awaiting his opportunity to return to the national squad so that he could go on with his strong run of form from playing county cricket in England.

According to Masood, he began his domestic career in the No. 4 position, but he has since played at the No. 3 position for both the Pakistan Super League (PSL) team and the Pakistan Test squad. He talked about how he didn’t want to play county cricket in England at first but ended up guiding Derbyshire, which he described as “a dream come true.”

PAK vs WI Live Update: After the IPL, I believe the PSL needs to take its place-Shan Masood

Masood said, with reference to several Twenty20 tournaments played all over the globe, that the Pakistan Super League is only second to the Indian Premier League (IPL). Additionally, he said that the purpose of his trip to England was to develop his whole game and acclimate himself to the circumstances.

“After the Indian Premier League, I believe the PSL has to be there. The T20 Blast is a competitive competition. However, there are only two international players on each of the 18 teams participating. In contrast to this, each PSL side has between eight and nine international players, which is a significant step forward,” Masood said while speaking with Cricket Pakistan.

“It is a privilege to play for Pakistan, and my performance for the national team will undoubtedly carry a great deal more weight. I am waiting for my opportunity with bated breath each time it comes around. Back in the day, I began my career in the domestic circuit, batting at the fourth position. In the PSL, I played the role of one-down. I also played one-down for Mickey Arthur’s team in the Test matches that we played. I am prepared to make the adjustment in my own game if that is what the team demands, and it is all a question of what the team requires,” Masood added.

Since receiving his first international debut in 2013, the 32-year-old batsman has appeared in 25 tests and five one-day internationals for Pakistan. He signed a contract to play first-class and Twenty20 cricket for Derbyshire for the 2022 county season.
