Mumbai Indians have got off to a good start this season as they are currently resting at 4th position on the points table. The side has so far secured two wins from 4 games and has 4 points by their name. They will be playing their 5th game of the Indian Premier League 2021 today against the Punjab Kings. One player who is missing in IPL 2021 is Mitchell McClenaghan.
The MI side had entered into this year’s edition with quite a few changes, which began from the auction table itself. They decided to release some of the names from their previous season, which even includes the likes of Mitchell McClenaghan.
The New Zealand pacer Mitchell McClenaghan remained with the Mumbai Indians’ side since 2015. He debuted into this league with the MI side and was also part of the trophy-winning side in the years 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020.
Mitchell McClenaghan gives brutally honest reply to a fan
Since he is not playing right now, he has been highly active on his social media accounts. He recently concluded a question-and-answer session on his Twitter handle, which received quite exciting responses from his fans. One fan asked him, “Why MI didn’t purchase u this time”.
Following his hilarious nature, the cricketer replied to this in a very sarcastic way. He replied, “Too fat”. You can see the tweet here:
Mumbai Indians already have a highly dependable bowling unit with the likes of the pace duo of Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult. Their spin bowling also has had a good phase, with Rahul Chahar playing the front role.
The side would be eyeing having a victorious night today against the Punjab Kings as their previous match had resulted in a loss against the Delhi Capitals. Whereas on the other hand, Punjab Kings will also be looking to climb up the ladder as they are currently holding the last-second position on the points table.
