IND vs WI: Suryakumar Yadav becomes first Indian player with 30+ plus scores in first five ODIs
Yadav made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka back in July 2021.
Suryakumar Yadav has been plying his trade in India’s domestic cricket since 2010, but despite impressive showings, he was unable to break into the national team. But lady luck smiled on him as he made his debut in the T20I series against England at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. He also played in the 2021 T20 World Cup in Oman and the UAE.
Even as he averages in the 30s in T20Is, the right-hander has looked a class apart when it comes to ODI cricket. The 31-year-old made his ODI debut on the tour of Sri Lanka under Rahul Dravid’s tutelage. From there on, the veteran has only played a handful of games but has given an account of his prowess with the bat in hand.

As far Yadav is concerned, the national selectors finally couldn’t overlook him after he performed exceptionally for the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The wheels of fortunes started turning in the right direction for Yadav.
