The T20 World Cup 2022 is around the corner. The excitement bar is increasing day by day as just 24 days are left for the marquee tournament. Australia will host the 8th edition of the event and it’s almost certain that fans would be in for endless entertainment. How many matches are in T20 World Cup
The T20 World Cup 2022 will begin on 16th October with the final to be played on 13th November. As the hype around the tournament has taken its toll on everyone, many would be wondering about how many matches are in the event.
The T20 World Cup will see a total of 45 games to be played between 16 teams. Teams will be divided into 2 groups out of which India, Australia, New Zealand, England Pakistan, Bangladesh, South Africa and Afghanistan have qualified for the Super 12 stage whereas Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe Netherlands, Ireland Scotland, West Indies, Namibia and UAE.

Out of 8 teams that will play the qualifier round, 4 will make it into the Super 12 stage of the tournament, where 6 teams will be divided into two groups each. The top 2 teams from both groups then will play a semi-final.
