“He has got a brilliant work ethic…” – Joe Root impressed with Yashasvi Jaiswal’s learning attitude

Rajasthan Royals’ opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal has been making waves in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. He has been a consistent run-scorer for Rajasthan Royals this season.

The youngster has often bolstered the top order with sheer batting abilities. He is currently the third-leading run-scorer in the ongoing season. Having played 13 matches so far, he scored 575 runs at an average of 47.92.

More importantly, he maintained a batting average of 47.92 at a strike rate of 166.18. Overall, he struck 74 fours and 26 sixes to his name. Notably, he hit the most fours this season.

Yashasvi Jaiswal failed to bring the best out of himself in the previous game against Royal Challengers Bangalore where he was dismissed for a duck. However, he will be looking to pick up the pace against Punjab Kings on May 19 in an away fixture.

Meanwhile, England international Joe Root reserved the highest respect for Yashasvi Jaiswal’s learning attitude in the sixteenth edition of the Indian Premier League.

Joe Root who has been in the RR camp has seen how Yashasvi Jaiswal has been picking up vital lessons now. Jaiswal has already shown that he can be the future Indian cricketer.

He has got enough potential to play a wide range of shots. Not long ago, he stunned the cricket fraternity by scoring the fastest IPL half-century as he achieved the feat in just 13 balls against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Joe Root, in an interview with PTI added that Yashasvi Jaiswal is always asking and attempting to learn from other players and from people around him. Furthermore, Joe Root said that Yashasvi has got a great temperament in that respect before adding that the latter has got an exceptional work ethic.
