“Had those sixes been hit by Dinesh Karthik or Hardik Pandya, I would have been hurt”, Haris Rauf lauds Virat Kohli for hitting those 2 sixes against him in the 2022 T20 World Cup

Pakistan’s fast bowler Haris Rauf has finally opened up on Virat Kohli’s batting masterclass against him in Super 12 of the ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup 2022 at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

During the game between India and Pakistan, fans of both nations turned up in numbers to witness the epic contest. As usual, the match certainly lived up to the expectations and the hype factor.

Both teams had their fair share of moments to outsmart the other. However, it was Team India who were clinically better than Pakistan in clutch moments of the game. As a result, they tasted the sweet smell of victory.

Haris Rauf finally breaks his silence after Virat Kohli hit two superb sixes against him in T20 World Cup 2022

India’s exceptional batsman, Virat Kohli, who enjoyed a phenomenal run-score spree in Australia made his presence count in the important fixture against Pakistan at the MCG.

The right-handed batter played the best knock of his cricketing career as he led the batting attack by example in the run-chase. Batting first, Pakistan posted 159/8 in their quota of 20 overs at the iconic stadium.

In response, India lost Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul for cheap scores. When the team was reeling under pressure, it was Virat Kohli who was technically sound while facing the Pakistani bowlers.

He took the game to the deep and played a match-winning knock to his ultra-aggressive approach. Meanwhile, Haris Rauf opened up on Virat Kohli’s two superb sixes against him in the game.

He said that he executed his plans pretty well against India but added that it was Virat Kohli’s class that he was able to smack two crucial sixes against him in the penultimate over, which made things quite easier for India to chase down the target.

Haris Rauf also added that if those two sixes were hit by Hardik Pandya or Dinesh Karthik, he would have been hurt. However, since those sixes were hit by Virat Kohli, it was all class according to Haris Rauf.
