The second ODI between Indian Cricket Team and Australia was a disappointing game for the hosts as they were outclassed by the opposition in all three formats of the game. The Rohit Sharma-led displayed a poor batting performance, which eventually was the reason behind their downfall.

Asked to bat first, they were bundled out for just 117 runs, with Virat Kohli and Axar Patel top-scoring with the score of 31 runs and 29* runs. Rest all the other batters struggled to get going against the opposition pacers, in particular Mitchell Starc, who bagged his 9th five-wicket haul.

They then struggled to get going with the ball as well as Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head took them to cleaners and smashed bowlers all over the park. They both struck unbeaten half-centuries to finish the games in 11 overs to hand India a 10-wicket loss.

Notably, this was not the first time, India suffered a 10-wicket loss. This was their 4th loss since 2020. Australia achieved the same feat in an ODI game in 2020 whereas Pakistan and England thumped India in T20Is.
