“Even ’90s kids got emotional” – Twitter gets emotional as Sachin Tendulkar welcomes his son with a heartfelt message

Mumbai Indians locked horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 25th game of the ongoing edition of the IPL last night at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

Batting first, Mumbai Indians posted 192/5 in their designated quota of 20 overs. Cameron Green top-scored with 64 off 40 balls including 6 fours and 2 sixes. Tilak Varma scored 37 off 17 balls including 2 fours and 4 sixes.

In response, Sunrisers Hyderabad lost a couple of wickets early on in the run-chase and they didn’t recover from the early blows. However, they did manage to take the game to the end.

Sunrisers Hyderabad required 20 runs off the last over to ace the run-chase. Although Mumbai Indians were the favourites to win the game, Sunrisers Hyderabad mathematically still had a chance to win.

Interestingly, Rohit Sharma gave the ball to Arjun Tendulkar to bowl the last over. The youngster who doesn’t have any prior experience in bowling the death over accepted the challenge gleefully.

The young Tendulkar bowled a top-notch over as he conceded only five runs in the last over. Besides that, he also took one wicket to his name, which was also his maiden IPL wicket. Arjun Tendulkar dismissed Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the fifth ball of the 20th over to take his first IPL wicket.

After the game, countless messages kept pouring in for Arjun Tendulkar from across quarters of the cricket fraternity. Several fans of the cricket fraternity heaped praise on Arjun for delivering the goods.

Meanwhile, Sachin Tendulkar stole the spotlight with a heartfelt tweet after Mumbai Indians’ win over Sunrisers Hyderabad. The Indian batting maestro initially praised Mumbai Indians for their all-round performance.

After that, he went on to praise all-rounder Cameron Green for his contribution with the bat and ball. Sachin Tendulkar also praised Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma for their batting.

Last but not least, he came up with a touching line for his son, Arjun Tendulkar, “And finally, a Tendulkar has an IPL wicket!”. For the record, Sachin Tendulkar hasn’t taken a wicket in IPL.
