“Captain After 2023 WC” – Twitter reacts after Hardik Pandya will be the new vice-captain of Indian ODI team

India’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya has already started to take up a truckload of responsibility and it is indeed good for himself and for the team. He has been a captain of the Indian T20I set-up for five games.

Notably, under his tutelage, India have managed to win four games and the remaining game ended in a tie. It is good to note that the all-rounder Hardik Pandya hasn’t lost a T20I as captain.

Under his captaincy, India inflicted a 2-0 whitewash on the Ireland cricket team in the two-match T20I series, winning the first and second game by seven wickets and 4 runs respectively.

Hardik Pandya also tasted his third win as T20I captain during the fourth T20I against the West Indies cricket team at Central Broward Regional Park as the Men in Blue won the game by a margin of 88 runs.

Team India recently locked horns with the New Zealand national cricket team in the three-match T20I series. The Men in Blue won the series by 1-0. India won the second T20I by 65 runs while one game ended in a tie and the other game was washed out without a ball being bowled due to rain.

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya will be the new vice-captain of the Indian ODI team, which pretty much sums up how the board is planning to take Indian cricket forward after Rohit Sharma.

At the moment, Rohit Sharma is the captain of the Indian national cricket team across all three formats and the board hasn’t confirmed that Hardik Pandya is the permanent T20I captain.

As things stand, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul will be pretty much focusing on the One-Day Internationals since the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 is scheduled to be held in India next year.
