India finish with 192 runs in the first innings
In the game against Pakistan, the Top 3 of the batting line-up did not have a great outing. Virat Kohli did score 35 runs but it did not come at a good strike rate. Hence, these three needed to spend some time in the middle against Hong Kong.
This seemed to be the strategy of the openers. While KL Rahul was careful, Rohit Sharma had to take on the bowling when the run rate came down. After he got out, Virat Kohli came in and he also took time to get going. From a team point of view, India was not heading towards the targeted score. At the end of the 13th over, India was just on 94 and KL Rahul got out. Suryakumar Yadav got into the action straight away. He took on all the bowlers and ended up with a score of 68 runs from just 26 deliveries. This knock included six boundaries and six huge hits out of the park. Four of these sixes came in the last over. Eventually, India finished with a score of 192, which seemed almost impossible at one time.
