Babar Azam stole the show in the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League series between the Pakistan cricket team and the Australian cricket team with back-to-back tons in the last two matches of the series. The Australian cricket team took a 1-0 lead in the 3-match series, but the Pakistan cricket team made a comeback and won the series by 2-1.
Speaking of Babar Azam, the right-handed batter from Pakistan is now third on the all-time list of batters with the best batting average in ODI cricket. After registering his 16th ODI century earlier today in Rawalpindi, Babar now has 4,261 runs to his name from 84 innings at an average of 59.18.
Former Indian cricket team captain once held the third position. He currently has a batting average of 58.07. Kohli has slipped down to the fourth position now, whereas Rassie van der Dussen and Ryan ten Doeschate hold the top two spots.
Courtesy of his two centuries and a fifty in this series, Babar was adjudged the Man of the Series in the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League series between the Pakistan cricket team and the Australian cricket team. After winning the Player of the Series award in the ODI series against Australia, Babar Azam said:
