While everyone is concerned about the batting form of Virat Kohli in recent times, specially in the ongoing IPL 2022, one of Virat’s former teammates and India’s white-ball legend, Yuvraj Singh, has advised Virat Kohli to change his overall personality.
Yuvraj Singh, who was speaking on the show “home of heroes” which is going to be aired on Viacom’s new channel Sports 18, is of the view that Virat Kohli, these days, is not the same Virat Kohli that he used to be back in the day in terms of his personality.
According to Yuvraj, Virat used to be a very free-flowing personality in the past and he will have to change himself and go back to his old self because that is the way he can get his cricketing mojo back as well.
Virat Kohli has struggled big time in his cricketing career in the last few months. It all started after India’s tour of England and before the T20 World Cup when Kohli announced that he had decided to step down as India’s T20I captain, but intended to continue in ODI and test cricket.
BCCI, however, had other views on the matter as they went on to sack Virat as the ODI captain saying they wanted just one captain for white-ball cricket and didn’t want “too much leadership”. Virat then resigned as India’s test captain as well after an unsuccessful tour of South Africa where India lost the test series by 1-2.

Rohit Sharma is now the all-format captain of India, but after leaving the captaincy, Virat hasn’t scored runs fluently and at the moment, there have been question marks over his form from all quarters. Although Virat’s place in the team seems safe as of now, the debate might start if he doesn’t regain his old touch soon.
Yuvraj Singh has seen Virat from close quarters and his advice to Virat is to just go back to his old self and be free-flowing in whatever he does. It will bring a signficant and positive change for him.
