5. Shane Watson
One of the best all-rounders to have played in the Indian Premier League, Shane Watson, makes his way into the list of the players with the most sixes against spinners in IPL history. During the 145 matches that he played in the Indian Premier League, he maintained a strike rate of 137.91, and much of this was thanks to the 190 odd sixes that he hit.
But he seemed to have a soft corner for tonking the ball out of the ground against the spinners, as he managed to hit as many as 84 of their deliveries over the boundary rope for a maximum.
4. Virat Kohli
The captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League, Virat Kohli is not particularly well known for his ability to hit the ball out of the ground. But, with a total of 89 sixes to his name, he enters this list of the players with the most number of sixes against spinners in IPL.
Virat has built his game to be played more around his technique that enables him to pierce the gaps and hit fours and crafty hits for boundaries. When the opposition tries to strike with the spinners though, he seems to go in a different zone and attack them, trying to go for the full-monty.
3. Kieron Pollard
The first entrant in the list from the Caribbean, Kieron Pollard ties with Virat Kohli in the tally of hitting the most number of sixes against spinners in IPL, having hit as many as 89 balls over the rope.
His overall tally is much greater. He has played in 171 matches in the Indian Premier League so far, where he has managed to hit 211 sixes in total, helping him amass 3,191 runs at a phenomenal strike rate of 150.87. Every bowler that bowls to Pollard does think twice before bowling a ball, but more often than not, it turns to be just another delivery that is deposited into the crowd by this West Indian powerhouse.
2. David Warner
The pocket-sized dynamite from the Sunrisers Hyderabad, David Warner makes an entry at number 2 in this list of the players with the most number of sixes against the spinners in IPL. The aggressive batsman has hit 200 sixes in his 148-match long IPL career so far, but an astonishing 94 of them are against the spinners.
The spinners are not utilized that much when Warner is out to bat, that is in the first 10 overs. But, Warner makes sure that whenever he faces one, the bowler at the other end has no resting moment.
1. Chris Gayle
One of the most dominating players in the world of T20 cricket, who is often hailed to have mastered this format of the sport, Chris Gayle is the batsman at the top spot in the leaderboard of the players who have hit the most number of sixes against spinners in IPL.
He literally torments the bowlers when he is on song on the field, with his big bulky bat, having the label of The Boss on it. He has hit a total of 357 sixes in the tournament so far, out of which, a staggering 140 of them have come against the spinners.
