Yuzvendra Chahal takes a subtle dig at selectors while replying to Aakash

One of the biggest news emerging from the cricket world recently has been Yuzvendra Chahal’s exclusion from the ICC T20 World Cup squad of India. Many fans consider Chahal the number one leg-spin bowler in the country. However, the selection committee decided against picking him. Instead, they picked Rahul Chahar in the squad for the mega event.

When asked why the selection committee did not pick Yuzvendra Chahal for the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 squad, chief selector Chetan Sharma had replied: “We had a discussion over Yuzvendra Chahal and the selectors thought was we need a bowler, who can bowl fast, and as we have recently seen Rahul Chahar bowling, the speed that he bowls with, the selectors thought that we need such a player.”

Yuzvendra Chahal now subtly responds to selectors

Yuzvendra Chahal would have been naturally disappointed after being snubbed. He has stated in his recent interviews that he is looking forward to performing well for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the upcoming IPL matches. Meanwhile, Chahal also came up with an interesting tweet while replying to famous Hindi commentator Aakash Chopra on the micro-blogging platform Twitter. Here’s what Aakash Chopra had tweeted:

“Picked a few trends from the first 30 games of #IPL2020 I think most will be valid this time too. 1. Win the toss-bat first 2. Pick genuine pace over medium-pacers 3. Bat cautiously in the PP overs 4. Faster spinners likely to make an impact Agree?” Soon, Chahal replied to him: “Faster spinner bhaiya? #JustKidding” (Faster spinner brother?). His reply has gone viral on Twitter.

Royal Challengers Bangalore will face Mumbai Indians on September 26

Fans will be able to witness the big battle between Rahul Chahar and Yuzvendra Chahal’s teams on September 26. It will be exciting to see which leg-spinner impresses the selectors. Many fans have backed Yuzvendra to perform well and earn a place in the T20 World Cup 2021 squad.

Fans should note that there are changes still possible in the T20 World Cup 2021 team. Hence, the players who were not selected will be keen to make their presence felt in the upcoming IPL matches in the UAE.
