“You got to understand what the bowler…..”, Suryakumar Yadav reveals the secret behind successfully playing the scoop shots

Suryakumar Yadav is popularly known as Mr 360 degree of India. This title was originally given to AB de Villiers for the wide plethora of unorthodox shots that he had in his arsenal. However, after his retirement, Suryakumar Yadav is perhaps the only player who can be called his true successor. And he proved it once again last night in the match between India and Zimbabwe

Sky scored an unbeaten 61 off 25 deliveries at a net run rate of 244. However, even more, impressive than that were the unorthodox scoop shots that completely shocked the spectators. Mr 360 was trending on Twitter after the match and obviously, Suryakumar Yadav was asked questions about these shots after the match.

Firstly, he said that he did not deserve to be compared to the legendary AB de Villiers. Talking about his shots, Sky said that he practiced a lot of scoop shots back when he used to play rubber ball cricket.

“You got to understand what the bowler is going to bowl at that time, which is a little pre-determined at that moment,” sky said.

He also said that he also had to know how long the boundary behind him is because otherwise it would be a huge rusk. He knew that it was 60-65 metres and with the pace of the ball, he just tries to time it, take it on the sweet spot of the bat and it just goes out there.

During the interview, Suryakumar Yadav was also asked about his phenomenal running between the wickets to which he said that it was all thanks to Virat Kohli. When you play with Kohli, then you have to run hard as well. Sky said that he tries to hit it in the gap and run as hard as he can.

Suryakumar Yadav has been the best batsman for Team India in the T20 World Cup 2022 so far alongside Virat Kohli.
