“Won’t be surprised if Rahul Dravid gets the sacking after this statement”, Twitter reacts as Rahul Dravid says that the BCCI should allow the India players to play in the other leagues

Team India’s hurdles continue again in the big stages of the ICC events. Their inability to find a way to come out on top in clutch moments of the main events has indeed haunted them to the core for several years now.

The last time India won the ICC event was around nine years ago, when the Men in Blue won the ICC Champions Trophy 2013 under the astute leadership traits of MS Dhoni in England.

However, since then, the Men in Blue struggled to win the coveted trophy in ICC events. It was near misses in the finishing stages of the tournament and they lacked clarity to weave the magic in semi-finals or finals.

India last played their T20 World Cup final was back in the 2014 edition when they surrendered at the hands of Kumar Sangakkara-led Sri Lankan cricket team.

Rahul Dravid has a big suggestion for BCCI following India’s exit from T20 World Cup

Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, India qualified for the semi-finals by topping the points table. Nonetheless, they didn’t have teeth in their bowling department to stop the Englishmen in the semi-final.

England got the better of India by 10 wickets at Adelaide Oval in Adelaide and made it to the finals of the competition. England will take on Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2022 final on November 13 in Melbourne.

Following India’s exit from the showpiece event, head coach of the Indian cricket team, Rahul Dravid came up with a meaningful suggestion for the BCCI.

Dravid is of the opinion that playing in the overseas leagues would surely help the Indian players. He further added that it is totally up to the BCCI to make the decision.
