The excitement level for the T20 World Cup 2022 is increasing day by day. The seventh edition of the ICC event will take place in Australia from 16th October to 13th November. With less than one month remaining before the start of the tournament, many fans and pundits have started to name their favorites and also have predicted their winners for the global event.

Will Pakistan win the 2022 T20 World Cup? 

One of the favorites to win the 2022 T20 World Cup is no doubt Pakistan Cricket Team. With the kind of performance they have been displaying over the past few years in the T20Is, they can be a sure-shot candidate to win the marquee event in Australia.

They recently announced their squad for the T20 World Cup 2022. Their team is pretty balanced in both the batting and bowling departments and if they play to their potential there’s no doubt that they can win the tournament.

They are placed in Group B alongside India, South Africa, Bangladesh, and two qualifiers. With the big names in the squad of Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan, Naseem Shah, and Shaheen Afridi, it is likely that they will be among the top two teams in the group.

Also, they are having a great preparation ahead of the event as they are facing form English team in the seven-T20I series at home. If they manage to win the series, they would be entering the event with great confidence and can also go on to win the tournament. Notably, they reached the semi-finals in the T20 World Cup 2021.

Pakistan squad for the 2022 T20 World Cup 

The 15-member Pakistani squad will be led by Babar Azam with Shadab Khan being the vice-captain of the side. They have also named in form Shan Masood in the side along with Shaheen Afridi, who will be making his comeback after an injury. The rest of the squad has familiar names and if they play well they can reach great heights.
