‘Arshdeep Singh is now prepared to compete at the highest level’-Former India International wants Arshdeep Singh to be included in the ICC World T20 2022 team

WI vs IND 2022: Arshdeep Singh has the support of another former Indian player, Reetinder Singh Sodhi, who believes he should be included in the 2022 Twenty20 World Cup roster for India. The left-arm pacer’s diversity has provided the Indian bowling unit with a welcome breath of new air, and he has made a solid case for himself with his death-bowling heroics.

The 22-year-old cricketer earned his first call-up to the national team after having a successful season playing for the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). After coming off the bench in the home series against South Africa and on the tour of Ireland, he was eventually given a starting position.

Singh was ultimately given the chance to exhibit his skills on an international stage.

WI vs IND 2022: What did Reetinder Singh Sodhi say about Arshdeep Singh?

In an interview with India News Sports, Sodhi expressed his belief that the young player is mature enough to perform well under the intense pressure that comes with playing in an ICC event.

Sodhi said: “India has a fantastic opportunity at their disposal because Arshdeep Singh is now prepared to compete at the highest level of cricket. It is possible that the selectors now have twenty names in mind for the World Cup. If they choose fifteen of those names, he will have a decent chance of making the team.”

He added: “In the circumstances that exist in Australia, it will be beneficial for the squad to have a left-arm seamer.”

The fast bowler from Punjab has been quite successful in bowling the challenging overs so far, and the fact that he has experience in the Indian Premier League helps his cause. He has gotten off to a strong start in his international career, taking six wickets in only four matches while maintaining an outstanding economy of 6.52 runs per match.

It is difficult to discover or recreate a talent like Singh’s, which consists of being able to bowl yorkers consistently when under duress. In the limited time, he has spent wearing the national colors so far, he has shown his flexibility by making effective use of the crease and mixing up his variations in a smart way.

Arshdeep Singh was not selected for India’s team for the one-day internationals that will be played against Zimbabwe, but it is anticipated that he would be included in India’s preparations for the shortest format.
