Fans on Twitter reacted after the Indian Cricket Team is set to play 30 international matches before the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. They expressed their disappointment with the series against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, saying that is why they play series against low-ranked teams every year.
India set to play 30 international matches before IPL 2023
After a disappointing exit in the semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2022, India will now move ahead and play bilateral series before preparing themselves for the Cricket World Cup, which is slated to take place in India in 2023.
India will first travel to New Zealand, where they will play 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is. It’ll be a relatively young side that will see Hardik Pandya leading the team in the shortest format and Shikhar Dhawan captaining the 50-over team.
After that India will travel to Bangladesh for three-match ODI series and two Tests. The tour will see a full-strength Indian team. The Men in Blue will host Sri Lanka for the 3 50-over games and 3 T20Is before locking horns with the Black Caps but this time at home. The two teams will play three ODIs and three T20Is.
The big challenge awaits for them when they host Australia for three-match ODI series followed by four-match Test series at home. The players will then play the IPL 2023 and after that will prepare themselves for the Cricket World Cup 2023.

Is there need for so many T20I, wouldn't have been better with 1 T20I and 4 or 5 ODI
— Vishnu Sivadasan (@Vishnu1002Arago) November 11, 2022
Odi Tri series would be better instead of meaningless T20Is.

Ipl is the culprit. People forget about the world cup. The world cup is more important than IPL. India never won a T20 world cup after the introduction of IPL

What's the point of playing NS twice?
— Radhe Mundada (@RadheMundadaa) November 11, 2022
We'll win 25 of these 30 matches and be on an all time high only to lose the semi final/final of 2023 ODI World Cup.

Why they are not conducting 5 ODI instead of 3 each on ODI world cup is in mind they did for the T20I's like played almost 40 matches in one year

I don't know why they play Bi series anymore. There is no excitement around it. Whatever happened to tri series, quad series and mini world cups.
— The dentist (@Ledentist) November 11, 2022
They really need to play more odi's. It's a good balance between t20 and test
— vish (@TheAnimePh) November 11, 2022
What's this obsession with so many T20Is when the 50 ov world cup is near? Where are the 5 ODI series? Where are the tri-series?
