India’s young southpaw Ishan Kishan struggled to produce a spark in the second T20I against the New Zealand cricket team at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
The youngster didn’t play the game with a lot of intent in the run-chase as India’s run-scoring rate took a big hit. It was indeed a tough wicket to bat for both teams, which turned out to be a low-scoring thriller.
Batting first, the Black Caps could only score 99 for the loss of 8 wickets in their quota of 20 overs. In response, India did struggle in the run-chase from the word go as the game was stretched to the final stages.
Prithvi Shaw likely to replace Ishan Kishan in the 3rd T20I
However, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya held their nerves and aced the run-chase as Team India beat New Zealand by six wickets and pulled off the ropes from the jaws of the defeat.
Meanwhile, in the latest development, Prithvi Shaw is likely to replace Ishan Kishan in the third and final T20I against the Black Caps, as reported by the Indian Express.
The fans expressed their frustration after the team management failed to pick Prithvi Shaw in the first two games of the T20I series as the young openers namely Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan failed to produce a spark in the first two games.
As per reports, Prithvi Shaw will be replacing Ishan Kishan in the final game on February 31, Wednesday at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. Ishan Kishan came under fire for his terrible knock in the run-chase as he scored only 19 runs off 32 balls including 2 fours at a strike rate of 59.38.
Earlier, Team India won the ODI series under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma as the Men in Blue won the series by 3-0. Now, the fans are geared up for the T20I series decider tomorrow which will determine the winner of the T20I series.

Drop gill too
Open with prithvi and tripathi. If both stay at the crease until the 8th over, scorecard will read 100/0

Team management should understand, its Subham's playing technique puts extra pressure on Ishan. No doubt Subham is an excellent player in ODI's where he doesn't have extra pressure to score quickly. T20 format demands quick score, in which he is not able to handle pressure.

Tripathi can keep, but he is not regular keeper for any team… single catch drop or more stumping can cost us a match.. they will need to for in Jitesh Sharma if Ishan to be benched..

Team management trying so hard to fit gill in the eleven no matter how many times he failed in the t20s. Anyway, when you compare gill and ishan, gill is far better than him.

So first time we can see Prithvi – Gill in opening pair for India…
