Australian all-rounder Cameron Green has produced a sensational effort with the bat in the ongoing fourth Test against India in Ahmedabad. The batter smashed his maiden Test ton and along with Usman Khawaja has put his side in a dominating position.
Green came to bat when Australia lost Peter Handscomb and was reduced to 170/4. But after that, he has made Indian bowlers toil hard and have made a mockery of them. The lanky all-rounder showed great patience and also attacked in desired phases.
He along with Usman Khawaja (150*) stitched an unbeaten 180 runs partnership, at the time of writing this piece, which is the highest of the series so far. Green showed respect to the spinners by blocking the balls but he took pacers to the cleaners and made sure that he put his side in a comfortable position.
Green got the reward for his hard work as he smashed his maiden Test century. He achieved the feat in 143 balls and became the second Australian to smash a century on this tour. The all-rounder has smashed 16 fours in his innings and with the way he’s going, he can double his score as well.
