“Tweeting from Lahore…”, Former Pakistan cricketer Imran Nazir takes a dig at Wasim Jaffer after India lost the semi final against England

The eighth edition of the ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup 2022 had plenty of twists and turns. Amid stiff competition in the tournament, four teams cracked the puzzle and made the cut into the semi-finals.

The four teams were none other than Pakistan, New Zealand, England and India. Pakistan and New Zealand locked horns with each other in the first semi-final at Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney.

Babar Azam-led Pakistan cricket team won the game by 7 wickets and booked their place in the finals of the showpiece event. On the other hand, India locked horns with England in the second semi-final of the marquee event in Adelaide.

The majority of the fans from every nook and corner of the cricket fraternity expected India versus Pakistan final in this T20 World Cup. The last time when these two teams locked horns with each other in the final was in the inaugural edition of the tournament.

However, that wasn’t meant to be as England inflicted a painful defeat on Team India in the second semi-final. England defeated Tea India by 10 wickets and will face Pakistan in the final on November 13 (Sunday) at Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Meanwhile, former Pakistani cricketer, Imran Nazir took a swipe at former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer on Twitter after India’s exit from the competition. Imran Nazir took to Twitter and tagged Wasim Jaffer and then wrote, “India Pak final could have been bigger but …….. Tweeting from Lahore”
