“This is what you play as a team”, Twitter reacts to the stat that there are no Pakistan batters in the top 15 run-getters list in the 2022 T20 World Cup

England and Pakistan will meet in the summit clash of the 2022 T20 World Cup. Around a week ago, no one would have expected Pakistan to reach the semi-finals, let alone the finals. Now, they are here and have a great chance to win the trophy. However, it needs to be noted that in the batting department, Pakistan has hardly had a noted performer. On that note, here, we take a look as Twitter reacts to the stat that there are no Pakistan batters in the top 15 run-getters list in the 2022 T20 World Cup.

The team effort has brought Pakistan to the finals

Pakistan lost their first two games to India and Zimbabwe. In both these matches, they had the game in the bag even in the last over. However, they were not able to hold their nerves and had to lose the encounter. In the next games, though, Pakistan was more confident and won the matches. They required an upset to qualify for the next stage and the Netherlands, by defeating South Africa, helped them. In the semis, they had it easy against the Kiwis as they stepped into the finals.

Pakistan has had a poor outing with the bat and yet, they find themselves one step away from the trophy. The likes of Shan Masood have stepped up when required and that has been the story for the Asian squad in this edition.

Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan had an excellent outing in the 2021 T20 World Cup. However, the team was not able to win the trophy. Ironically, barring the semis, the duo has been poor, and yet, the team has a good chance of winning the competition. Here is how Twitter reacted to this:
