The Asia Cup 2023 will be played in September. The tournament so far is slated to take place in Pakistan. However, there have been a few issues related to it and it remains to be seen where will it take place. Due to security reasons in Pakistan, BCCI has denied to travel to the neighbouring country.

There have been various verbal spats between the cricket governing bodies of the two nations related to the tournament and its venue. However, after much discussion, many reports have suggested that the tournament will be played in Pakistan apart from the India games.

The Men in Blue will be playing Asia Cup 2023 matches in England or Oman or Sri Lanka and UAE and if India reaches the final, the clash will be played outside Pakistan.

PCB has been very vocal about that they won’t shift the tournament outside Pakistan and if India pulls out of it then they won’t travel to India for the upcoming Cricket World Cup 2023. But the latest reports in Indian Express suggest that the proposal to play India games in Asia Cup 2023 at a neutral venue has been proposed by the PCB themselves.

A total of 13 matches will be played in Asia Cup 2023 with Group Stage, Super 4 and final. Six teams will be divided into two groups with three teams each that will clash for the 50-over tournament championship. India and Pakistan are placed in group A along with a qualifier whereas Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are placed in group B.
