Pakistan national cricket team came under fire for their reckless bowling performance against the England cricket team in the first of the two-match Test series, which is being played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.
In addition, PCB received immense criticism from across quarters for not preparing a Test match pitch. Moreover, the England cricket team took advantage of the pitch and piled up runs with relative ease.
The visitors succeeded in dominating the bowlers throughout the first day of the opening Test. In the process, England became the first team to score 500 runs on the opening day of the Test match.
Zak Crawley scored 122 runs including 21 boundaries whereas Ben Duckett scored 107 including 15 fours. On the other hand, Ollie Pope scored 108 runs with the help of 14 boundaries.
Harry Brook scored 153 runs off 116 balls and was the top run-getter of the team. He constructed his innings with the help of 19 boundaries and 5 sixes, at a strike rate of 131.90 as England posted 657 runs in the first innings.

Pakistani bowlers totally lost control of the game as they went on to leak too many runs. Saud Shakeel was on the receiving end on Day 1 when he conceded 24 runs (6 fours in 6 balls) while facing Harry Brook.
The same batsman was on a hitting spree while facing Zahid Mahmood as he smashed 27 runs in an over and broke the previous record set by him as an England opener.
Zahid Mahmood suffered the brunt of England’s batting attack as he conceded 235 runs. Meanwhile, Pakistan Cricket Board President Ramiz Raja brutally trolled his own team after the second day of the Test.
He said that the only time the Pakistan cricket team did not concede 30 runs in a five-minute spell was when they were taking Decision Review System. Meanwhile, Pakistan responded pretty well with 181/0 in 151 overs, Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq are batting on 89 and 90 respectively.
