Former Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Hafeez has named Indian batter Virat Kohli his most valuable batter in the T20 World Cup 2022.

Indian batter Virat Kohli is setting the stage on fire for the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022. Coming into the tournament, there were a lot of speculations about how the former Indian skipper will approach, especially after the poor outings.
But he replied to all the critics in style and has been one of the main reasons behind India’s success in the tournament. The Men in Blue are currently sitting on the top of the points table of Group B with 4 wins out of their four games. They are next slated to play Zimbabwe on Sunday (6th November) and a win will take them through the semi-finals.

Kohli kickstarted his campaign with the match-winning unbeaten 82-run knock again Pakistan. He was at his classical best as he almost single-handedly won the match for his side. If this was not enough, he then continued his fine form and smashed unbeaten 62 runs against the Netherlands.
He then had a dismal outing against South Africa in Perth but he came back strongly and smashed another half-century, scoring unbeaten 64 runs and making sure that his side end the innings on high. With this knock, he surpassed Mahela Jayawardene to become the highest run-scorer in the history of the tournament.

With his unbeaten 64 runs knock against Bangladesh, Kohli became the leading run-getter in the tournament with 220 runs at 220 average with 3 fifties in 4 innings. Also, he has two Man of the Match awards in the four games.
With the kind of pace he’s going, Mohammad Hafeez has named Virat Kohli as the most valuable batter in the T20 World Cup 2022.
