New Zealand and India are currently locking horns with each other in the second ODI. The visitors made two changes to their team bringing in Deepak Hooda and Deepak Chahar in place of Sanju Samson and Shardul Thakur.

It was unfortunate for Samson to miss as he played decently in the first game, scoring 36 runs and helping his team post a total over 300 runs. He was replaced for a team combination as India lacked the 6th bowling option, which Hooda could provide.

Many expressed their disappointment with Sanju Samson not playing and said that the keeper batter should’ve been given opportunities to perform. Despite not getting a chance, Samson continued winning the hearts of many as he was helping ground staff.

Rain has played a part in the ongoing game and has stopped the game a few times. After India was off to a great start, rain forced players to leave the field. In what was a heartwarming gesture Samson then stepped onto the field and helped ground staff for putting the covers.
