KL Rahul scored 28 runs in 20 deliveries against Pakistan on Sunday. It was a fine knock considering his performances in the previous two encounters. In the third over of the game, KL scored two sixes of Naseem Shah’s bowling. The second sixer was an interesting one. It seems that he tried to hit the bowl towards the leg side but the ball went straight over the bowler’s head into the stands. The direction was unintended but the timing was so good that the ball went all the way.

A change in approach would make KL Rahul vital for India
Although KL Rahul is talented, his approach in recent months has not been impressive. Hence, there have been calls from all corners for him to change it.
Against Pakistan, Rahul showed glimpses of the same. He scored a couple of sixes and did not shy away from taking risks. Considering India had great depth in batting, KL Rahul’s knock was very useful. Since India will adopt the same brand going forward, if Rahul continues with this approach, his presence in the team will be very vital.
