“So where does he learn to do all the creative and adaptable things” – Australia great Geoff Lawson blames Pat Cummins after India take a 2-0 lead in the BGT series

The Australian national cricket team led by Pat Cummins were slapped with a heavy defeat while locking horns with the Indian national cricket team in the first match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy series.

Team India led by Rohit Sharma won the Test opener by an innings and 132 runs at VCA Stadium in Nagpur. The hosts marched on ahead with the same confidence levels as they went on to win the second Test by six wickets.

After an emphatic win in Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, India not only took a 2-0 lead in the BGT series but also retained the Border Gavaskar Trophy for the record fourth-straight time.

Australia great Geoff Lawson blames Pat Cummins after India’s sheer dominance

Meanwhile, Australian great Geoff Lawson launched a scathing attack on Australian skipper Pat Cummins after India’s utter dominance in the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy series.

Although Australia tried to make a comeback in the Delhi Test, India’s spinners namely Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin threw a spanner in their works as the visitors lost yet another Test.

The Aussies are just a defeat away from losing the BGT series. On the other hand, Team India will have to win one more game in order to secure a spot in the ICC World Test Championship final.

Australian great Geoff Lawson openly slammed Pat Cummins and assistant coach Daniel Vettori for Australia’s dismal performances in the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy series.

For the record, Geoff Lawson was one of the greatest Australian fast bowlers in the late ’80s. Meanwhile, he has some reservations about Cummins skippering the Australian cricket team particularly on turning tracks.

The majority of the Australian players fell prey to Indian spinners, with Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin dominating the game with epic bowling spells.

While speaking to SEN Radio, Lawson questioned Cummins where does he learn to do the creative and adaptable stuff that is required to be done in the first place.
