India and Australia will face each other in the first ODI of the three-match series in Mumbai. The game will be extremely crucial for both the teams as they don’t have much of the ODI cricket coming and also the World Cup is around the corner.

Indian skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss and asked Australia to bat first. In the absence of Pat Cummins, Steve Smith has been handed the responsibility of the team for the three games. However, at the toss, the batter surprised many when he said that David Warner is not part of the XI for the first game.

Warner suffered an injury in the Test series and was ruled out of the last two games. He however is back in India for the ODIs. But skipper Smith revealed that he’s yet to recover completely and in his absence, Mitchell Marsh will open the innings.
