“Pujara will make bowlers call for an ambulance”, Twitter reacts to the scenario if India plays Tests on Pakistan pitches

It was way back in 2007 that India and Pakistan last played a Test. Since then, the teams have been involved either in ODIs or T20Is and that too only at the ICC or the Asia Cup events. Now, PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja has opined that Test Cricket needs India and Pakistan to clash regularly. Here, we take a look at how Twitter reacted to the scenario of India playing Tests on Pakistan pitches.

India vs Pakistan Tests may not happen in the near future

Due to political reasons, India and Pakistan do not meet in the five-day format. Unless both teams reach the finals of the World Test Championship, in the near future, at least, we may not see both teams playing a Test match.

India is one of the best sides in Test cricket right now. Yes, the team might have faltered against South Africa and England recently but it is still a formidable side. The team has recorded some fine wins in Australia and England, something that was unlikely a few years ago. Every Test Team needs a bowling attack that can take 20 wickets regularly. India has a strong pace attack and a solid spin attack comprising R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel. On the other hand, Pakistan is a struggling Test squad. There is talent but the team is losing games to Australia and England at home. Hence, it may not be a competitive fixture from a cricketing perspective.

Twitter reacts to what would happen if men in blue play in Pakistan

Pakistan’s pitches in recent years have been very bland. It is extremely favourable to the batting attack and hence, Pakistan is not able to win games consistently. Now, imagining India would play on this track, it might become a hard task for any bowling attack to dismiss the Indian batters. We take a look at some of the reactions below in this regard:
